We operate a free crèche in the centre, which runs term time only and is registered with Ofsted for 15 children; we also have another crèche registered for 20 children upstairs on the 2nd floor.

In order for a child to attend the crèche the parent/carer must be attending a relevant activity in the centre. The crèche would run between the times of 9.30am-3.00pm.

Our ratio of children to workers is as follows:

0 -1½ year olds 2 children 1 worker
1½ - 3 year olds 4 children 1 worker
3 -7 year olds 8 children 1 worker

We have 1 NVQ level 3 Childcare qualified permanent member of staff, we also employ suitably qualified sessional staff. We also enjoy a close working relationship with Rainbow Creche Cooperative.

Ofsted have praised us for the high standard of our crèche, staff and how happy and content the children seemed to be when in the creche.

The crèche implements the Birth to Three Framework, and we work towards the Every Child Matters outcomes.
